Scientist - Genome Editing 

Our Cambridgeshire based client is actively recruiting for a Genome Editing Scientist to work on specific projects to understand and produce a range of cell types / cultures for R&D activities 

This is a hands on position and will involve the use of a range of Gene editing techniques including CRISPR, SiRNA and shRNA together with transfection and electroporation cell maintenance techniques
Additional responsibilities will include :

- Culturing and maintaining embryonic and pluripotent stem cells 
- Using a variety of molecular biology techniques including  DNA / RNA / protein extraction, electrophoresis, PCR, RT-qPCR, Western-Blot and associated software packages / design tools
- Characterising expressed edited cells using immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry and microscopy techniques
- Understanding potential process issues with assays and trouble shooting accordingly
- Creating detailed reports for others to understand and refer to 

Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc / PhD in Biology (or associated subject) together with proven demonstrable experience, ideally working with iPSC lines

This is a permanent position offering an attractive salary (depending on skills and experience)
